Jay Burnet and Ralph Mayo reminisced about UMass Amherst Zoology Masters Program. They had both taken ichthyology from Tom Andrews. Jay remembers the biorhythms course given by Jack Palmer. It is a pity that we do not offer the ability to get a Masters in a more fluid form given that our previous masters graduates have populated a good part of state and federal agencies in the region. We are now more focused on producing Ph.D.s, which may be missing the majority of meaningful positions in the public sector requiring higher education.
